Hermann Lederer

Hermann Lederer received a diploma in physics from the University of Munich and a PhD in Natural Sciences from the Technical University of Munich for studies of the quaternary structure of the RNA polymerase promotor complex and its components by neutron small-angle scattering. After a post-doc position at Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry with research stays at ILL (Grenoble), Risoe National Lab (Roskilde), and DESY (Hamburg), he took a position at RZG.

Kevin Ashley

Kevin Ashley is Director of the Digital Curation Centre (DCC), a consortium based at the University of Edinburgh whose mission is to increase the capability and capacity of research organisations around the world to make the most of their research data. He has a long-term interest in the management and reuse of data and the skills and services necessary to support this, and is a frequent speaker on these topics as well as occasional tutor on DCC training courses.

Volker Beckmann

He finished his PhD in astrophysics at Hamburg University in 2001, and then became postdoc at the INTEGRAL Science Data Centre (ISDC) in Geneva to build the data analysis pipeline of the INTEGRAL gammaray satellite’s spectrograph. From 2003 to 2007 he worked as head of the INTEGRAL guest observer facility at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Centre, and taught at the University of Maryland Baltimore County.

Elly Dijk

A human geographer by training, Elly Dijk is senior policy advisor at Data Archiving and Networked Services (DANS) in the Netherlands. DANS is the Netherlands institute for permanent access to digital research resources. She is coordinator of the national scholarly (open access) portal NARCIS (narcis.nl). She is currently project leader of OpenAIRE 2020 at DANS, and she is, together with the Technical University Delft, the National Open Access Desk (NOAD) for this project.

Dale Robertson

Dale Robertson has recently joined Jisc to work on the EOSCpilot project’s Policy and Governance Work Packages.  Dale is a specialist in European Public Affairs in the areas of Digital and Research Policies, and also an experienced Project Manager in the context of EC-funded research projects.  She spent five years as Head of EU Liaison at GÉANT, developing and leading an EU policy advice and engagement function, and prior to that was Marketing Communications Manager, leading the Communications activity of successive EC-funded GÉANT projects.  Dale has also worked in the European Commission

Rob van der Meer

Rob van der Meer

Rob is the ASTRON responsible for coordinating proposal, start up, and running of European H2020 projects. He holds a PhD in nuclear physics and has worked in astronomy and astroparticle physics as scientist and project manager. He took care of the start up of the EGI.eu office in Amsterdam and the EGI-InSPIRE project.

He is currently manager of the projects ASTERICS and AENEAS and leading the start up phase of the EOSC Pilot activities in the LOFAR Pilot and the EOSC Hub activities of ASTRON.
